WHO ARE WE?
The Anglican Sisters of Saint Margaret have run St. Mary's for over 100 years. It is a haven of peace at the junction of two of the busiest commuter roads in West London. St. Mary’s provides the homely environment of an extended Christian family and high quality care.
Family and friends can visit us at any time (after 5:30pm please ring the night bell for access). Family members and friends are encouraged to get involved in their loved one’s care and to be part of our life. Reflecting our place in the local community are the many volunteers who support our activities. |
CHAPEL
At the heart of the House is the Chapel. We have daily services to which all are welcome to; the chapel is fully wheelchair accessible. The Chapel is always open for quiet reflection. Members of the local clergy come to celebrate the Eucharist each day and are available if residents, their family or friends wish to see them.
THE SOCIETY OF ST. MARGARET
The Sisters of St. Margaret are an Anglican Religious Order of women called to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ through our worship and work, prayer and common life. Our commitment to God and to one another is expressed through vows of poverty, chastity and obedience. The Society of St. Margaret was founded by John Mason Neale in 1855 in East Grinstead.
The Sisters live a balanced life of active work and contemplative prayer. The Eucharist and our daily prayer, both individually and corporately, are at the heart of our lives. The community is always ready to share its life with those who seek to come closer to God.
As well as here at Chiswick we currently have houses in Walsingham, Hackney, Sri Lanka, and the United States.
