WELCOME
St. Mary's Convent and Nursing Home in Chiswick has been looking after the most vulnerable members of society, the aged and infirm, since 1910.
Actively supported by Florence Nightingale in its early years, the convent and hospital were built around 1896 in the 'open fields of Chiswick', to give residents respite from the soot and dust of the inner city. St. Mary's is today a thriving care community, with 60 people aged between 65 and 103 living in private en-suite rooms, cared for by over 90 staff.
St. Mary's is also a Convent of The Society of St. Margaret, an Anglican order of Sisters, called to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ through our worship and work, prayer and common life. A small group of the Sisters live alongside our residents.
We constantly strive for excellence in maintaining the charm of living in a listed building and conservation area. As a non-profit institution, we also look for opportunities to enhance what the Convent can offer to residents. We welcome your kind support by making a donation to St. Mary's Convent and Nursing Home.
Please note we are not a Home that is registered for Dementia/Alzheimer's care.
